It's been a while since I dedicated in twine, no shortage of muses I can tell you but I had a spark!
Can you pick whom?
BLOG:
This hand dyed Macramé Wall Hanging has been inspired by
Tove @ Stuff that makes my heart beat faster
DESIGN:
T
he Black twine, cooper olives and vintage wooden beads are the perfect combination to visually describe the lovely Norwegian Architect, Mother and total Mid Century Retro lover, Tove!
I choose black because it's bold and a design classic- as is Tove's furniture collection, two words 'string shelf'!!!
The hanging needed 'bling', only copper would do!
The wooden beads are a given....have you seen the teak kitchen??
The pattern is strong and balanced with a twist in the bottom fringe to hark back to her Architecture background.
The neutral palette is also Tove's choice in home decor too but she's a nature girl as well!
Lovely house plants and posts on her home town will show you that!
The selection of pottery, are reminiscent of her well curated collection!
She loves WG too, so that makes her a good egg!
DEDICATION:
Tove came across my blog, some time ago!
It is usually the other way round but I call it fate really, as a visit to her blog, is the stuff of dreams!
Her impeccable taste in pottery, furniture and kitchens have me drooling!
If you haven't met yet...do!
Tove, your blog and yourself are just lovely and I can speak for many of us when I say 'it has been pure joy getting to know you'
and thankyou so much for your support of my knotty adventures!
I dedicate this macrame to you and your blog! xx
Pippa.

This 'Black Macramé Sling Hanger' with vintage orange macramé beads has been inspired by Dana @ Mid2Mod!
DESIGN
I had already designated the black as the Mid2Mod colour, it's a classic, as are the posts on Dana's blog.
If you love midcentury design and all it encompasses, then this is a good place for you to go!
(if your already a convert, then I can see you nodding your head!)
I have been sitting on this design for ages, she had remained unfinished....till I found a lovely pile of vintage macramé beads from a local market...then I saw Dana's post on her front door and then, as they say the rest is history!
Dana shares many loves!....
West German Pottery, Midwinter Pottery, Teak Furniture and Ranches!
Scandinavian Glass, Interior Design, Architecture
Succulents, Cacti, Planters and Air Plants!
Orange and Turquoise!
Books and Teaching!
and her Family!
Now back to the dedication, dare I say it...this black hanger is a bit sexy too!
Now Dana, I dedicate this hanger to you because I think you are FAB!
Thanks for posting amazing designs on your blog, researching thoughtfully and keeping us Aussie girls in Mid-century Bliss!!
And thanks for commenting and supporting my adventures too!
Big Hug!
:Pippa
Psst
Next year I will also be designing a range of Ouch Beads inspired by the Atomic era!
With Dana's help of course!
Her doing all the leg work in research and me enjoying the posts!!! :)
(check out the yellow and black ouch beads!)

This Pink Macramé Hanging basket has been
inspired by Brismod @ Fun and VJ's!
DESIGN
A worthy tropical fruit basket!
I think it would make a great addition to any Queenslander, but the Queenslander in question is the one that Jason is restoring!
This Husband and Wife team are dedicated to forge this Old house into a lovely home and they share their adventures with us, along the way!
Now I'm not sure Brismod is a pink girl but she sure loves tropical, have you read the pineapple series on her blog and this pink reminds me of fruit punch and I can imagine many a soiree at her place on a balmy night!
Have you seen her beautiful profile pic? She's certainly channeling a Tahitian Princess!
Throughout Brismod's lovingly called "Sows Ear", she has many beautifully curated displays of her thrift finds and Mid Century Australian furniture.
Teak features alot, which is why she must join "The Teak Lovers Society",(another post, another day)Butterfly chairs and much more!
A beautiful glass collection both Scandinavian and Australian bark glass....is only rivaled by the stain glass windows of her Queenslander home. (sweet pops of colour, dazzle the eye)
She also has a few handsome West Germans too!
All these goodies are surrounded by masses of VJ, expertly painted by the very capable and often topless Jason.....thanks Jason we like to see a man working!
I think the simplicity of this hanger with it's fruit punch colour, sling design and wicker basket, would go nicely!
Brismod, your blog is very inspiring and I've learnt so much from your posts and I look forward to seeing the "Sows Ears" journey unfold!

BLOG
This Dream Catcher inspired Wall hanging was created with the blog The Brick House in mind!
This blog, written by Morgan is a Mid Century lovers, dream home.
Each post is carefully curated and beautifully photographed to best showcase the thrift finds and adaptions to the styling, this home frequently undergoes.
I'm a keen fan of Morgan's work and respect the tenacity of their hunting instinct!
DESIGN
A simple star burst design using the natural twine, again the fringe is feature with a long tale.
Styled with my thrifted fav's, brown leather Danish arm chair,
GPlan side table and some WG Pottery and a cactus. (Morgan likes plants too)
I have chosen a natural and simple colour palette, earthy tones, reminiscent of the Brick House.
The Rocket lamp?...ahh very special new acquisition, created by Tamara @ Retro Print Revival.
The fabric is vintage, nice Aussie motif of Banksias, those legs are amazing!
I think the design and fabric could find a nice spot amongst the decor of the Brick House too.
Every now and then Morgan will showcase many amazing retro macrame and wall hangings!
What is not to love?

Sharing over at Scandi Coast Home, linky party!
BLOG
This macrame hanger is inspired by the infectious blog, created by Tania Maree from Scandi Coast Home!
She has a very attuned eye for all things Scandi and Coast, her interior shots of her home and herself are immaculate.
She's a relaxed and witty Lass too, she'd be the last person to expect this but hey!
One visit to her lovely part of the world and she'll have you spotting anything seafoam, from a mile off!
DESIGN
Hand dyed turquoise twine with the natural twine gives the coastal look!
I have left the twine around the circle, with a bit of a fringe, for a little bit of Boho.
Which I'm sure Tania Maree would approve.
The small white felt balls break up the vivid colour, for a small bit of Scandi.
My green and blue art glass vase are amongst Tania's favourite colours, as well as a shell for effect!
Tania Maree, I dedicate this post to you because your blog has me seeing Scandi Coast, where ever I go!

This will be the first post in my new series of posts, called Blog-Design-Dedication.
This is where I take inspiration from blogs I read and create a macrame piece that I think is reflective of the person and their blog! (bit of fun really)
I have plenty of macrame ideas and plenty of blogs to source from, so no one is safe really!

This dream-catcher/wall hanging has been inspired
by Kylie Lucy Violet Vintage
DESIGN
It's very retro, which is what Kylie likes but the floral/sun pattern has a delicate vintage vibe, like a nice crochet dress. It's pretty and delicate, which describes our dedicatee, just look at a pic of her!
The pops of orange are a common feature in her home styling as are the W.G pottery!I don't think she is opposed to a bit of fringing either!
Kylie loves teak too!
Kylie, this post I dedicate to you......cause your Ace!
Psst- Kylie and Donna are having a Retro Cook Off, join in!
