This yarn lends itself to be soft and chunky so don't be frugal, the end finish will be the bomb!
To make a hanger like mine you need to use 60m!
Cut 12 x 5m lengths.
Fold in half and drape through a metal ring. (Craft shops sell them)
I use the IKEA packet clasps to help act as an extra pair of hands.
my wrappping knot is 7cm.
Divide the yarn into equal fours and create the Chinese Crown Knot.
Repeat this knot! .......7-10 times?
Divide the yarn again into equal fours, this is called an arm.
You should have six strands of yarn in each arm.
Using the Square Knot, macrame each arm with 4-5 knots.
Here's a good time to thread on some fancy things, copper, beads etc
Now divide each arm in half, and join two halves from separate arms together. (six strands of yarn)
Make sure they don't cross over each other!
Pop on some beads and fix with four of squares knots.

At this point securely hang up your hanger and test with your chosen pot before you finish off!
Make sure the pot will sit comfortably and safely, use the IKEA clips to hold your yarn together and assess with your macrame eye, before going on?
Carry on or stop.... have a cuppa, be sure?
To end the hanger you could bind the yarn together with another wrapping knot .....or using the square knot by macrameing the arms together!

Remember to knot arms side by side not across from each other.
This creates a ring of knots, make a few rings.
