  1. So many great things happening at Casa Ouch. I think your friend Ray will know that Danish dish. I think it's Royal Copenhagen, but could very well be wrong. I pulled out our little loom (exactly like yours) and am wooling-up a dolls' house rug. I'll show you soon. Love everything that's going on. I even spy some Clarice.

    1. Love that your making a rug for the dolls house! That is very cool! :)

And yes you do, I might post about it soon!

  2. Great update! Candle holders are Kosta Boda, I believe they are called sunflower (but I would double check) and your plate is Royal Copenhagen Aluminia, it must have initials in the back, that would tell you which artist did the decoration. Congrats on your Real Living feature!

  4. Oooh so many intersting things here Pippa. I LOVE the Wedgwood "Man Friday" - Ive never seen it before..very quirky. And some great West German pieces you have there too....and what do I spot on the shelf at the back there...OMG...Clarice Cliff??? surely not an opshop find!

A few times a year I see weaving looms at auctions going pretty cheap..will let you know the next time I spot one...wouldnt cost much to send to Melbourne.

Great to get recognition in a magazine too, makes all the time and effort worthwhile.

Oh Yes...the blue dish Beth Breyen for Alumina/Royal Copenhagen for the Tenera range c 1960s around the $100 mark in good condition, well spotted.

    1. I'm so pleased to have introduced you to something for a change Ray!
I did think of you when I bought it home and was looking forward to sharing!
There were more plates where I got it from, if your interested in details?
Keep me posted on the looms, so far they have been costly :)
And thanks for the mag cheer and details on the dish, knew you'd know and so did everybody else! LOL x

  5. Everything in this post is just so lovely and wonderful Pippa.
I love "Man Friday" (and that cuff) especially, because I have never seen anything quite like either of them. "M.F." looks like one of those vintage plates that has been embellished by an artist, you know in the style of Trixie Delicious etc, except it's not, which makes it way, way cool!
Will you take me to these op-shops when I come to Melbourne? Ours suck big time in comparison!

p.s. if you could score a plate or three for me,I would be thrilled...

  10. Goodness me, Pippa, I don't even know where to start!! So much loveliness in one place! I'm so curious about the glass candle holders (one of them with a tall white candle). They are in every thrift store over here, but I' e never managed to find out who made them. They're very 70s cool. I'm guessing they're Norwegian or Swedish. I'll research and let you know if I find out!
So many exciting new projects, I can definitely see some great table mats and runners appearing soon! The sneak peek on the collab is looking very promising, great colors. And last but not least- congrats on your magazine appearance- girl/Pippa power!!

Ps. It's great to see Goliath immortalized:-)

  17. all your thrifts look like mine. I think I have ten different Mikasa, hof and arabia designs in my crockery cupboard, not to mention the fine china. Nothing quite like opshopping. those who hate it have never found a treasure.
