:: Beautiful Rack

My newest eBay acquisition, a Danish Magazine Rack!
I'm slowly learning the who's who of the Danish Designers.
Sadly there is no makers mark on this one but I'm a sucker for sexy legs and this beauty has four of them!
A nice interplay of Form and Function?

Do you remember this post I did some while ago?

Well Andrea of Odds&Ends, the maker of this cutie has been an extremely busy lady and was commissioned by L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, Paris Runway #3.(OMG)

Any one worth their salt in the fashion world, know the prestige of this festival!
Her Cacti were on the runway with many Fashionista Greats!
Do visit her Blog for pic's, you wont be disappointed!

I know, I have already asked this week for some sugar but I know you have some more to spare!

I'm so impressed and overjoyed for Andrea that I had to share!

Hey Beautiful People, I would like to ask you, to show some sugar!

A very sweet lass named Tes, has just started her first blog milkviensdecor!(see above pic...starting off pretty well)

She is an ex student of mine and I would like to show her some support by asking you to pop by!

She's a cool cat!
She shares our passion for vintage/retro thrifting, interior design and all things quirky and crafty!
She is also very talented musically, simply beautiful and a very good egg!

Tes, all the best! You are going to love this blog journey!

:: Collections #2

 I knew once I styled my blue ceramic and glass wares together in collection #1, I'd need to rearrange what was left....here are pic's of my efforts

I always feel the house is in harmony once everything has its place. Once you change something or add a new addition, this reshuffling, rearranging and maybe a culling....must occur again and again!

:P

Ps Will Mr ouchflower notice?...mmmm

:: Let's create some traffic!

Featherston

I have been pondering....
My recent blog link with Donna @ Hung Up On Retro, was lot's of fun and I would like to do a link in again so, here's my idea!

On Sunday the 25th of march 2012, 7pm, post on your blog!

:: My Top 5 Covet List! (post title)

The idea being if, money was no object, sourcing was no difficulty, a bit of a Jeanie in the bottle type wish!

Your Top 5 can come from anywhere, Design, Architecture, Fashion, Homewares, Film etc but maybe keep a Mid-Century/Retro/Vintage vibe about it!

Why... to share each others blogs and coveted items, make new friends and share our pooled readership!

Because  I hope it will be fun....so let's create some traffic!

If your in!
Comment on the post or send me an email!

Then, I will post all the blogs participating for each of us to add as links to our Sunday post.

Feel free to share this concept, I'm just the idea person, I want it to be community thang!

::P

PS: to wet your appetite...my #1 is a Featherston- 1951  R160 Chair.

:: Charley Harper

 Have you seen the work of Charley Harper before?
They are not just for children but for the child in all of us.
I really admire they way he uses the design elements and principles, colour, shape, line and symmetry, repetition, scale...to name a few!

Charles Harper’s wildlife art is created without the fuss and feathers. Minimal realism, he calls it, “I don’t try to put everything in, I try to leave everything out”. he explains, adding impishly, “I never count the feathers in the wings; I just count the wings.”

I don't think I could tire looking at his illustrations....also I love the mid century aesthetic!
