Pinch Pot Air Plant Hanger |
My return to clay has been very enjoyable and I have had loads of fun hand building these pieces, typically there are the usual losses to glaze faults and cracking but a bit more testing and I will get it right!
I'm very pleased with these two and I couldn't wait to show you!
A bit of crazing, so I am looking into a different clay body. |
Today's thrift find, a pair of Lotte candlestick holders |
This hanger was made from buff raku, it can take a small slow growing cactus or an air plant.
The pattern style is inspired by Bitossi! (thanks MMMC xx)
The design was inspired by a Sunflower. |

They are both stunning...but I can't stop looking at the brown one. It won my heart right away.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dana, yes I feel the same way, it's the clay it's lovely to work with and lovely to look at! :)
ReplyDeletethese are very cool...loving the grassy air plants...I quite like the crazing on the pot and the colour is perfect!

Love, want, need(?), put me on your list please Pippa. Brown 'Bitossi' my fave.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely. I love everything you do.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I agree, the brown one is amazing! And imagine, two little Figgjo Lotte pieces, made close to where I grew up, emigrated all the way to Australia:-)
ReplyDeleteHi Pippa, I love the colour of the glaze you're working with at the moment..a sea glass kind of look. It reminds me of a tropical beach with that really clear water that turns aqua as it gets deeper. The shapes of the brown ones are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a chance to comment in a while but I thoroughly enjoy your energy and creativity! :)
ReplyDeleteReally gorgeous ... I love the colour of the blue one ... and the little yellow beads are lovely ... Bee xx
ReplyDeleteLove these. Great MCM inspiration.
ReplyDeleteMore beautiful work! These are stunning.
