Welcome to KNOT SCHOOL
Today is the first in a series of posts, where I show you 7 basic Macramé knots.
You have been watching me for the past 18 months now it's your turn!
Majority of Macramé begins with this knot, it's not very exciting but hey you need to know it!
KNOT #1
Larks Head
.......now get knotting!
Pippa
I was brought up in the 70s surrounded by Macrame, but it was always brown...I love how you've updated it with such brilliant bright colour combinations! I look forward to learning the next knot...Rachel x
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel, for joining in! :)
DeleteI'm so thrilled, Pippa!! I'm so looking forward to learning from you! You're so generous to want to share your macramé skills with us, can't wait for that next knot! When my house gets back to normal I'll have to get myself some twine:-) Don't worry, it'll be long before we'll reach your level of expertise, so no competition!
ReplyDeleteNever say never Tove, I'm sure that Norway needs a macrame revolution!
DeleteWe will learn knots first then some patterns! :)
Ps. Couldn't agree more with the above, you've really brought macramé to a new level:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks x
DeleteI think even I could manage a Larks Head!
ReplyDeleteNow tell me Pipstar, where's the best place to get twine? (not that itchy scratchy stuff) Does Spotlight sell it? And the metal thing?
Knot School's a great idea. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing. I'm in!
No major craft stores sell nice twine, I'll send you some! xx
Deletewith a metal thingy! LOL
Awww thanks Pipstar. I'll def mention Knot School on the blog (when/if I post again!) x
ReplyDeleteLoving Knot School!
ReplyDeleteI plan not to tie a knot, but simply watch and dig it alot.
(abit of rhyming to make up for my lack of craft skills)
Kicking goals Pippa!! xx
Why no knot Donna? Are you allergic? Come on join! I'll give you Saturday classes! xx
DeleteHi Pippa. I wake up ever morning and smile at your beautiful work. I have a large macrame hanger that my Mum gave me from our family home and longing for the day I can hang it up. So looking forward to learning the craft. Another obsession! xxxv
ReplyDeleteSoo sweet of you to say, thankyou!
DeletePlease hang that beauty up, just use an anchor clip in your plaster board :)
Thanks for joining in!
This is such a cool idea for a series! I can't wait to read all the posts.
