The winter light was just right this morning.
I have not edited these images, 'brownies promise' look at the colour of our newly painted lounge room at chez Ouch!
It's the dulux colour 'Royal Curtsy' very apt for today!
.....wouldn't you say?
Change of camera angle and it looks very dark,
What an amazing colour and here's my new tassel garland!
....with a macramé knot and dyed gold!
Add some vintage teak beads for a different look!
Latest thrift find, a dish by Broadstairs pottery in the UK.
I think I would like to collect this maker so keep your eyes peeled for me!Pippa.
Oh my goodness, Pippa, all that beauty, a sight for sore (drafting) eyes!! The garland, the color of the walls, the sideboard, the glass (you know how much I love Festivo and Niva) and pottery- everything is amazing!!! Love the macrame and teak beads on the garland!! I've never seen Broadstairs around here, but if I do, I know where to send it:-)
ReplyDeleteTo sum it up: WOW!!

Broadstairs rings a bell for me though i don't recognize the leaf dish design at all? Hmm. l'll certainly keep my eyes peeled for you (especially in the boxes of random pottery we're still unpacking after house repairs months ago) x

DeleteI'm on my knees your Majesty.
ReplyDeleteYour lounge room - colour, and EVERYTHING in it(!) - is beautiful. Your bravado re colour has paid off big time! Two questions for you:
I love the adonised planter, is that where you got your inspiration from?
And, how do you hang your tassels so neatly and discreetly?
x
Once I finish the styling I will show you the rest of the room! ....inspiration was the dulux campaign, I had to have that colour somewhere in the home! ......I shortened the rope, pulled them tight between two small nails, to make it more like a wall hanging! xx
DeleteEverything is just perfect. I love the new color, the new tassel garland...EVERYTHING. It's extraordinary, Pippa, really.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the new macrame knot on the tassels too. It makes them look extra, extra classy.
Thanks so much Dana, I will certainly put this option in the shop soon!

ReplyDeleteThanks Brismod, the sidey was our second vintage purchase ever as a couple, little did I know then what a thrifthound I would become! We bought it with the loose change collection we had growing over some years, I think still, it is a very good investment! xx
